Basic information about tigers can be found on websites like National Geographic and Defenders.org. These websites provide a plethora of information about tigers and some of their subspecies.
Information like tigers are mammals and the largest member of the cat family can be found on the National Geographic website. The average lifespan of a tiger is around 10 to 15 years, and they can weigh from 240 to 500 lbs. Tigers are carnivores so they eat animals like antelope, deer, pigs, and water buffalo. Tigers also hunt other animals like leopards, monkeys and hares. Tiger litter sizes are three to four cubs and the cubs become independent around 18 months of age, as reported by Defenders.org.
