The website for the Iowa Bar provides information about Iowa judges. Attorneys licensed by the Iowa Bar perform evaluations every two years of each judge and publish the results online for people to see how the judges scored.

For these evaluations, attorneys rate the judges on different subcategories within the categories professional competence and demeanor. These evaluations provide a rating scale of one to five, with a score of five being "excellent" and a one being "very poor" on different categories, such as the judges' knowledge of the law, attentiveness, treatment of people, and promptness of rulings, according to the Iowa Bar website.
