Methods for determining the last date that a given web page was modified include looking for a copyright date on the page, checking the Internet Archive website and using the View Page Info command on Firefox. Older sites may respond to a javascript code being typed into the address box.

To check the last modified date of a website using the Internet Archive, go to the Internet Archive website and type in the website's URL. To use Firefox's View Page Info command, click on that command in the drop-down menu. Page information appears, including the date of last modification of the page.
