Can you learn to sing?

It's possible for anyone to learn to sing, explains the Institute for Vocal Advancement. However, not everyone has the ability to sing perfectly or in tune.

Because singing is produced by the vocal cords, and everybody has them, everyone can learn to sing in some fashion. However, people who are tone deaf or have no hearing whatsoever have a much harder time singing because of not being able to hear variances in pitch or tone. In order to learn to develop a singing voice, many people opt for professional lessons by a voice coach, in which proper technique and vocal exercise is taught.
