The Telegraph considers "All Quiet on the Western Front," "The Dam Busters" and "The Bridge on the River Kwai" to be the greatest war movies. IMDb users give their highest ratings to "Apocalypse Now," "Das Boot" and "The Deer Hunter." AMC lists "Saving Private Ryan," "Black Hawk Down," "Full Metal Jacket" and "Platoon" as the best war movies in its rankings.
