Where can you find lists of good neurosurgeons?

Becker's Hospital Review published a list titled "100 Hospitals With Great Neurosurgery and Spine Programs," which includes hospitals that have been recognized for offering outstanding neurosurgical care. Some hospitals included on the list are Abington Memorial Hospital, Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Harper University Hospital.

The American Association of Neurological Surgeons offers an online service for locating local neurosurgeons. Users can search by name, address, language and specialty.

Neurosurgeons specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral and central nervous system disorders. As of 2015, the requirements to become a neurosurgeon include completion of a four-year bachelor's degree, four years of medical school, a one-year internship and five to seven years of residency, according to the University of Rochester Medical Center.
