A Locks of Love salon identifies itself by placing an official Locks of Love sticker in its window, so it can be easily located. As of February 2015, the official Locks of Love website does not keep an updated list of participating salons.

According to the official Locks of Love website, those who wish to make donations should perform a quick Google search in their particular area if they cannot locate a salon with a window decal. National chains are most likely to participate in the program. For example, some Great Clips locations offer free haircuts periodically if a person is making a donation to the charity. Salons that wish to participate can contact Locks of Love directly at volunteer@locksoflove.org.
