The state of New Mexico has a convenient online search function that allows a person to look up court cases. One can also visit the local courthouse where the case was originally heard.
There are several pieces of information a person needs in order to look up a court case in New Mexico. One either needs the full name of one of the people involved in the case, his or her driver's license number or his or her date of birth. Alternately, one can also search by case number. In New Mexico, this is a 15 digit number. Metropolitan court cases, however, are only 14 digits in length.
