How can you make volleyball poles?

Volleyball poles can be made from stainless steel, galvanized steel, anodized aluminum or treated wood. Volleyball poles are 10.5 to 16 feet long and can be cemented at their base to prevent movement.
Volleyball poles should be inserted into a concrete footing measuring 1 foot in diameter and 3 feet deep to add strength. While it is not necessary to cement the poles, doing so can help prolong the life of the court. Padding the poles is a good way to prevent injury on the court. If not covered, it's important to remove any protrusions from the poles in order to prevent sharp edges and eliminate risk of injury.
