Where can you find music theory books?

Music theory books can be purchased from local music and instrumental shops, school and college bookstores, retail bookstores and music instructors who have pre-ordered theory books. Music theory books and lessons can be ordered from online resources, such as One Minute Music Lessons or musictheory.net, or directly from publisher websites.

Music theory books are also available to check out at community libraries or college libraries for free; but since these books are only on loan, the pages cannot be marked by the user. Many companies offer downloadable mobile applications or computer software with music theory books preloaded, along with tips, advice and lessons to accompany the textbook.
