Can nylon shrink in the dryer?

Nylon, like most synthetic materials, is highly resistant to heat and does not typically shrink in a dryer. Nylon garments may permanently wrinkle in a hot dryer, so use a low setting and fabric softener when drying nylon clothing. When possible, wash and dry all synthetics separately.
Nylon is commonly used in sports equipment as it is very strong and lightweight. Because it is synthetic, it is not affected by mildew or moths. Nylon garments do not normally wrinkle, and it is unusual for them to require ironing. However, if required, use a warm iron. Nylon clothing can also drip dry without losing its shape.
