How can you paint marbled paper with shaving cream?

To paint marbled paper with shaving cream, mix shaving cream with liquid watercolor paint, and place a sheet of paper on the mixture. After removing it and scraping it clean, let it dry. This 40-minute craft requires shaving cream, a pie plate, liquid watercolor paint, a spoon, a popsicle stick and heavy paper.

1. Mix shaving cream and paint

   Dispense a thick layer of shaving cream into a pie plate, and smooth the surface with the back of a spoon. Then, dribble several colors of liquid watercolor paint on top. Swirl the spoon through the mixture to create colorful patterns, but leave plenty of the white shaving cream visible.

2. Add paper

   Smooth the shaving cream with the spoon, and then place one sheet of light-colored heavy paper face down in the pie plate. Press it down gently, and wait 20 seconds before lifting it out.

3. Clean the paper

   Place the paper flat on your work surface with the wet side up. Scrape off the excess shaving cream with the side of a popsicle stick, and then scrape off the stick on the edge of the pie plate.

4. Dry the paper

   Set the marbled paper in a well-ventilated area away from curious children and pets. Leave it undisturbed until it dries.
