People with type 2 diabetes are allowed to eat eggs, according to WebMD. A recent study suggests that a diet rich in eggs does not have a negative effect on the cholesterol of people with diabetes.
Not only do eggs not affect the cholesterol of a person with type 2 diabetes, but eating a diet rich in eggs for a period of three months has shown greater appetite control and provides a greater sense of feeling full, states WebMD. This may aid people in losing weight and also help prevent them from regaining weight. The research suggests that the optimal amount of eggs to consume per day is two, up to six days a week.
