Photos of scabies on skin are available online at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and Hardin MD of the University of Iowa. A slideshow that includes relevant information and features images of dermal scabies is also presented online at WebMD.
Scabies is a skin disease characterized by severe itching, raised spots, lesions and blisters due to a mite infestation of the strain Sarcoptes scabiei. WebMD shows an image of scabies that developed between the fingers. Other common sites for a scabies infestation include creases in the wrists, elbows and knees. The face, neck, soles and palms of youngsters are also prone to a scabies invasion.
AAD displays a picture of a scabies rash on the undersurface of a child's foot. Hardin MD provides images of dermal scabies on the male genitalia and buttocks. Other photos include scabies that developed on the arms, stomach and chest areas.
