GlassCoat can be purchased and applied at an authorized Simoniz vehicle dealership. Because GlassCoat is applied to new vehicles only, it must be installed by a professional and it is not available for retail purchase.

Simoniz GlassCoat is a highly durable, ceramic surface protection applied to a vehicle's final paint job. The product is advertised to act as a second clear coat and to protect paint from wear, including car washes, acid rain and simple scratches. The company was founded in 1910 as the American Car Wax Company, but changed the name to Simoniz is 1912. GlassCoat was introduced in 2007 and has been featured on the television show Modern Marvels.
