Can you purchase two-year DMV renewal tags?

Many states, such as Oregon, Maryland and Missouri, offer two-year vehicle registration renewals. Others, such as California, offer only one-year options. Each state has its own requirements regarding vehicle registration, and certain regions within states may impose additional requirements.

In Missouri, drivers must submit proof of payment of personal property tax or a statement of non-assessment before renewing their vehicle's tags. Both one-year and two-year renewals are available. In parts of Oregon, drivers must complete a Department of Environmental Quality inspection to receive new tags. They may submit their renewal forms at the DEQ site or mail or submit them to the DMV for a two-year renewal.
