The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients lists U.S. lung transplant centers along with their ratings for patient survival, labeled "as expected" or "higher than expected." SRTR is a database of information provided by the federal Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network, administered by the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation.

From January 2012 to June 2014, the lung transplant centers with higher than expected patient survival rates were located at University of California, Los Angeles; University of California, San Francisco; Mayo Clinic Florida; and University of Virginia, according to SRTR. Lung transplants are most frequently performed for patients with severe conditions including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cystic fibrosis, per MedlinePlus.
