People can read about measles at MayoClinic.org and WebMD.com. Measles is an infection, most often found in children, caused by a virus. It can be prevented by inoculating children with a vaccine, according to Mayo Clinic.
Symptoms of measles include high fever, runny nose, sore throat and a cough. People may also develop red, sore eyes and fatigue. When these symptoms begin to subside, other symptoms that appear include red spots inside the mouth and an all-over body rash, according to WebMD. As of September 2015, there is no treatment to get rid of an already established infection, states Mayo Clinic.
