Red grape-flavored Malt Duck beer is no longer available. The beer was a blend of concentrated, unfermented red grapes and premium beer, sold in 12-ounce cans and 7-ounce bottles. The Malt Duck line also included two other flavors: white grape and apple.
Malt Duck, which was originally manufactured by the National Brewing Company, first appeared in the late 1960s, and the brand earned a registered trademark in 1970. After merging with Carling, another brewery, in 1975, the company was sold to the G. Heileman Brewing Company. Malt Duck remained in production until the early 1990s, when G. Heileman was sold to the Stroh Brewery Company. Malt Duck's trademark filing expired in 1992.
