Can you reload gift cards?

Certain gift cards allow the buyer to reload the card for future uses, but some gift cards are for one time use. Both Wal-Mart and Amazon allow card users to reload money. However, a gift card purchased for ToysRUs is only available for a one-time use.

Wal-Mart allows users to make a one-time reload or set up an automatic reload. One reason people use automatic reload is to provide continuous financing on the store card or to save up for a large purchase.

Amazon also allows for automatic reload of gift cards and the funds added to the card never expire. Amazon also doesn't charge a fee for maintaining a balance on the card.
