Can you retrieve deleted email messages?

It is often possible to retrieve messages deleted messages from a trash or deleted items folder, where emails are stored for a set amount of time after deletion from the inbox. In most web- and client-based email applications, the trash folder is accessible from the main navigation pane.

Retrieving email after its automatic deletion from the trash folder is more difficult, though some web clients are able to attempt to restore recently deleted email. For example, Yahoo Mail is sometimes able to restore emails that were deleted from the trash folder within the previous seven days.
