A Ritteri anemone can live in a saltwater aquarium; however, it is considered one of the most difficult species to care for. Ritteri anemone require at least a 50-gallon tank with moderate water movement and strong lighting.
The scientific name for Ritteri anemone is Heteractis magnifica, but it is also commonly known as the magnificent sea anemone. This species grows over 3 feet in the wild, but typically, it only grows to 1.5 feet in an aquarium. In the wild, the Ritteri anemone has a symbiotic relationship with clownfish. It was featured in the 2003 Pixar animated film "Finding Nemo."
