Customers can find visit the manufacturer website to learn which GE dishwashers models have been recalled. They can also find the information on trusted consumer research websites, such as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website, Consumer Reports and ConsumerAffairs.
As of 2015, the most recent recall was issued in August 2012 and included about 1.3 million units and over 20 different models from series such as GE Profile, GE Eterna and GE Adora. The recalled dishwashers were all manufactured between 2006 and 2008 and contained electrical defects that posed a fire risk. GE offered consumers the option to receive a free repair or a rebate towards a new dishwasher.
