Can you see satellites in the night sky?

Satellites can be seen quite often at night. The best chance of seeing a satellite speeding over is shortly before the sun rises or sets.

There are over 35,000 satellites orbiting the Earth, and their sizes vary greatly. A satellite resembles a star moving very fast across the sky, but they can only be seen with the naked eye if light from the Sun reflects off of them, which is why the best chance of spotting one is the greatest around dusk or dawn. The International Space Station can be commonly spotted, which is a real treat for space enthusiasts.
