Can semipermanent mascara be applied at home?

While some brands of semi-permanent mascara are intended only for salon use, other brands can be applied at home. Some brands available for home use include 28-Day Mascara, Jemma Kidd Lasting Lash and Diego Dalla Palma Semi-permanent Technical Mascara.

Semi-permanent mascara applies a dye to the lashes. Because the dye is not permanent, it fades after three to six weeks. No mascara is needed during this time. At-home semi-permanent mascaras are intended for people with light lashes though they can be worn by anyone. They do not add volume to the lashes or make them longer. Some at-home versions of semi-permanent mascara last only for a few days.
