A risk assessment report should include the hazards present within a business and the plans to keep these hazards and their associated risks under control. It is important to thoroughly write a report that reflects each business because all businesses are different, and different control measures are necessary.

A risk assessment report looks at the qualitative and quantitative values of risks associated with a hazard. These assessments are necessary in multiple industries, such as the military, the medical field, the cooking and food service field and the environmental field. For example, in a hospital setting, risk exists for cross-contamination. The report should include how this could occur and the steps the hospital takes to prevent it, such as employees wearing gloves and using proper disinfectant procedures.
