How can stickers be removed from walls?

Stickers can be removed from surfaces using a blow dryer or with baby oil.

Heat from the blow dryer reactivates the adhesive, allowing for removal of the sticker with minimal destruction of paint or drywall. Baby oil dissolves some nonpermanent adhesives, making stickers easier to remove.

In many cases, removing stickers from a painted wall damages the paint or drywall, requiring a touchup in that area. For walls in children's rooms or play areas, consider using gloss paint on the walls. Gloss paint resists stains and is easier to wipe clean of nonpermanent adhesive goop as well as crayon and pen markings.
