Can upper leg pain be caused by your feet?

Upper leg pain is not usually caused by a person's foot. In patients who suffer from fallen arches (otherwise known as flat feet), pain can radiate to the lower leg but typically not to the upper leg, according to Healthline.
Pain in the upper leg is a symptom of health concerns not related to the foot, Healthline explains. Most leg pain, reports Mayo Clinic, is the result of wear and tear, overuse or trauma to the bones, muscles, joints, tendons or other soft tissues in the leg. Disease or injuries that affect the spine can also cause upper leg pain, according to Spine-Health.com.
