Can you use personal images as your desktop background?

All operating systems that utilize a desktop graphic user interface facilitate the use of third party digital images as background images. Alternatively, computer users can opt to use pre-installed images or a solid color as their desktop background. Users can also choose a single image as their wallpaper or a slide show of images.

Computer users can make any image stored on their computer their desktop wallpaper by simply right clicking the image and selecting the Set as Desktop Background option from the menu. Desktop backgrounds can be cropped, stretched or tiled to fit the screen, or centered on the screen and surrounded by a solid color.
