Dump trucks are vehicles with gross ratings between 19,501 pounds and 26,000 pounds. A gross vehicle weight rating indicates how much weight a truck or other vehicle has a capacity to hold.
A class 6 heavy-duty vehicle weighs between 19,501 pounds and 26,000 pounds. A class 7 heavy-duty vehicle weighs between 26,001 pounds and 33,000 pounds.
A dump truck is a vehicle that has an open gate and a hydraulic lift. Dump trucks typically transport loose materials, such as gravel, sand or dirt, to and from construction sites. Lifting the gate and raising the hydraulic lift releases the materials in the dump truck.
