When can you watch live racing at Oaklawn Park Racetrack?

Oaklawn Park Racetrack has live racing scheduled between the months of January and April each year. Simulcast racing from other tracks can be viewed at Oaklawn between the months of April and December.

Each year in April, Oaklawn hosts the Arkansas Derby with a 1 million dollar purse. The Arkansas Derby is considered in the racing world to be a stepping stone to the Kentucky Derby with many winners of the Arkansas Purse going on to perform well in the later stages on the road to the Triple Crown. Since Oaklawn opened in 1904, it has featured some of the best-known horses in the racing world, including the 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharaoh.
