As of May 2015, the car that has the best mileage is the BMW i3 BEV electric vehicle, which has a fuel economy of approximately 124 mpg. For nonelectric vehicles, the most fuel-efficient car models are the Toyota Prius and Prius c Hybrid cars.

Other cars that has great mileage includes the Fiat 500e and the Volkswagen e-Golf vehicles, both of which are powered by electricity and have fuel efficiencies of 116 mpg. For larger electric cars, the most fuel-efficient model is the Tesla Model S AWD, which gets up to 101 mpg. The most fuel inefficient car model is the Bugatti Veyron, which can get up to 10 mpg.
