Before Casio unveiled the G-Shock watch in 1983, the company was attempting to develop a watch that did not break. During the design process, Casio's team of developers followed a "Triple 10" development concept. They wanted a watch that could fall 10 meters, had a 10-bar water resistance and had a 10-year battery life. The G-Shock watch has a triple-protection design that allows it to endure hard knocks without incident. It includes a stopwatch, countdown timer and light.
