What are cast iron stovetop grill/griddles used for?
By Forinfos - 12/01/2026 - 0 comments
Cast iron stovetop grill/griddle pans cook pancakes or eggs on the flat side, and their ridged side imprints grill marks on meat or vegetables. Most cast iron grill/griddle pans are sized to fit over two stovetop burners, and they usually have an attached grease catcher to keep the stovetop clean.
Lodge Manufacturing Company notes that its grill/griddle pan can be used on any stovetop, grill or campfire. However, the pans should be lifted on a glass or ceramic stovetop to avoid scratching the stove surface. Some foods, such as eggs, tend to stick to the pans during the first few uses, although an additional coating of butter or oil helps prevent sticking.
