What is a Cavalier King Charles and Spaniel Poodle mix?

The mix between a cavalier King Charles spaniel and a poodle is called a cavapoo or cavapoodle. The cavapoo is a designer breed rather than a purebred, and it cannot be registered with the American Kennel Club or any other purebred registries.

The cavapoo combines the best qualities from both breeds and comes in a variety of colors including black, white, brown, gold and tan, or any combination of these. This dog stands 9 to 12 inches tall and weighs between 7 to 18 pounds at maturity. The cavapoo's coat may or may not shed depending on which breed's traits are dominant in a particular animal.
