The Cayman Islands are a group of three islands located south of Cuba in the Caribbean Sea. The islands that make up the Caymans are Grand Cayman Island, Cayman Brac Island and Little Cayman Island.
The Cayman Islands have a tropical marine climate, with warm, rainy summers and dry, cool winters. Its population was 54,914 as of July 2013. The Cayman Islands were once a part of Jamaica under British rule, but when Jamaica became independent of the United Kingdom in 1962, the Cayman Islands chose to separate themselves from Jamaica and remain dependent to the British Crown. The Cayman Islands are a popular tourist destination offering many services for visitors.
