As of April, 2015, T-Mobile and Sprint offer to buy out a Verizon cell phone contract. Both carriers also offer to pay off the remaining balance on a customer's Verizon phone.
T-Mobile pays early termination fees via a Visa prepaid card and does not state any limits to the amount it will cover. The cell carrier covers remaining balances on a phone up to $650 and issues a Visa prepaid card or a credit towards the purchase of a new phone. Sprint offers a similar buyout plan with no stated limits on its web site. Sprint issues funds via an American Express prepaid card.
