Do cemetery grounds keepers keep track of graves?
By Forinfos - 26/04/2025 - 0 comments
In the United States, in active cemeteries, a sexton or office manager handles the tracking of graves. A cemetery groundskeeper will prepare the grave site for a burial.
A cemetery groundskeeper locates and marks the grave for excavation, then digs the grave to the specified depth and prepares the site for the guests of the burial service. He or she also sets the tombstone. The groundskeeper cares for the cemetery grounds by mowing the lawn, pruning trees and bushes and removing fallen leaves from the grounds and may be required to maintain any vehicles or machinery, such as leaf blowers and lawn mowers.
