Cesium sulfate is a compound formed by grouping two cesium ions, two oxygen atoms, two oxygen ions and one sulfur atom. It's usually found as a cesium salt compound with a chemical formula of Cs2SO4.

Cesium sulfate is a water-soluble form of cesium and is often a midway product in the process of isolating useful forms of cesium. Prior to arriving at a cesium sulfate solution, cesium alum is roasted with carbon and then leeched out in an aqueous solution to separate the compounds.

In laboratory tests, ingestion and injection of cesium sulfate on mice and rats led to convulsions and changes in urine compositions. Doses ranged from approximately 1200 to 3100 milligrams per kilogram of

subject weight.
