Who are the characters in the Skylanders game?

Characters in the Skylanders game series include Spyro, Trigger Happy, Gill Grunt, Wildfire and Jawbreaker. The game series has a large roster of characters. All the characters can be viewed on the characters page of the Skylanders website, as of March 2015.

From the Skylanders home page, a user can click on Characters to view all the characters. He can also place the cursor over Characters and select a specific character category on the drop-down menu that appears. Characters are grouped by element, such as fire, water, earth, light and dark. Characters are also grouped by game, so a user can view all characters of a specific element from one game or the entire series.

Categories for Skylanders characters include Trap Team, Eon's Elite, Swap Force, Giants and Villains. Character pages include a video of the character, a gallery, stats for the character and a biography. Certain characters have multiple versions, in which case different versions can be selected on that character's page.

The series began in 2011 with "Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure." Sequels include "Skylanders: Giants," "Skylanders: Swap Force" and "Skylanders: Trap Team." The games are a spinoff of the "Spyro the Dragon" series. A toy line accompanies the game series, and multiple illustrated novels related to the series have been created.
