What is a Chef Boyardee lasagne kit?

The Chef Boyardee Lasagna Dinner Kit was a 32.9-ounce meal containing all the basic ingredients necessary to make lasagna. It was discontinued by Chef Boyardee and is no longer available for sale.

The kit included the lasagna noodles, a hearty meat sauce and grated cheese to spread throughout. The entire kit provided four servings per container, with each serving having 300 calories. After cooking the noodles, the consumer was then required to assemble the lasagna in a baking dish. It only took 15 minutes to bake the meal to completion, which is much faster than the cooking time for traditional lasagna.
