What is a cherry picker forklift?

A cherry picker forklift is an aerial platform or bucket attached to a hydraulic lifting system which is used to raise a person into the air, typically to perform a job. Other names for this type of system include boom lift, man lift, basket crane and hydroladder.

Cherry picker forklifts are used in many occupations requiring extended periods of work in elevated positions. They are used in orchards and warehouses as well as by window washers, electricians, tree trimmers and painters. Workers on a cherry picker forklift typically wear a full-body harness hooked to a lanyard with a shock absorber.
