What is a child's rocking chair?

A child's rocking chair is a small version of a standard rocking chair that is designed for children 3 years of age and older, also referred to as a mini-rocker. Children's rocking chairs are approximately 22 to 23 inches tall. The chairs are typically constructed with natural wood or composites.
Mini rocking chairs are designed with foot rest rungs and two-slat ladder backings. Certain mini-chair models also feature hand-painted designs such as butterflies or flowers. Rocking chairs are beneficial to children, due to the fact that rocking motions teach the brain to distinguish sensory responses while strengthening the body's sense of balance.
