What is a Chinese baby predictor?

A Chinese baby predictor is a birth chart used to determine a baby’s gender. Based on a Chinese Lunar Calendar, the month of conception and the mother’s actual age at conception must be converted to the corresponding lunar conception month and lunar age in order to make a gender prediction.

The origins of the Chinese baby predictor chart are unclear, but it was supposedly found in a royal tomb more than 700 years ago. If accurate, the predictor not only reveals the gender of an already conceived child but can help parents choose the gender of children they plan to have.
