A cinnamon green-cheeked conure is a small parrot that is native to Mexico and Central and South America. They congregate in groups of up to 20 birds in the wild and are social in nature.
Green-cheeked conures come in a number of color mutations. These include the pineapple green-cheek, the turquoise green-cheek and the yellow-sided green-cheek. These are simply differences in color, however. The changes do not indicate different species.
These parrots are affectionate and have a peaceful and calm nature. They take two years to reach sexual maturity and lay up to six eggs, which they incubate for around 24 days.
