In what city is Stanford?

Stanford University is located in the city of Stanford, Cali. It is located between San Jose and San Francisco in what is known as California's Silicon Valley.

Stanford University is known as one of the world's best teaching and research universities. The university was founded in 1891. There are seven schools in the university, divided to focus on particular areas of study. These include schools of business, earth sciences, education, engineering, humanities and sciences, law and medicine.

As of 2014, the university's student-to-faculty ratio is 4 to 1, and there are 21 Nobel laureates currently among the faculty. Enrollment includes 7,018 undergraduates and 9,118 graduate students.
