CL & P rates are the cost of electricity consumption measured in cents per kilowatt hour. The state Public Utilities Regulatory Authority had awarded the company a $130 million rate increase in December 2014. An additional $18 million annual increment in its existing rate collection was awarded in February 2015.
Eversource, formerly known as Connecticut Light & Power, is a distributor of electricity for customers in Connecticut. It offers different fixed price plans based on the ConEdison rates for residential and small commercial customers. As of August 2015, the four-month standard power plan offers a pricing of 8.99 cents per kilowatt hour.
