What is a claim letter?

A claim letter details damage suffered by a claimant and lays out the expectations of the company to resolve the situation. Claims can be made for damage to people or property.
Claim letters can request full or partial reimbursement depending on the severity of the situation and the wishes of the claimant. The Letters website states that a claim letter needs to be sent to the company responsible as soon as the damage occurs. Claims can only be made by a customer when there has already been an agreement between the two parties as to whom is responsible in the case of damage. Supporting documents must be included and referenced in the claim letter to back up the claimant's argument.
