How do you clean dentures with bleach?

To clean dentures with bleach, create a dilute solution of 1 part household bleach, such as Clorox, to 10 parts water. Vinegar is also a good home remedy for cleaning darkened dentures.
- Create the solution
Create the dilute solution by mixing one part household bleach to 10 parts water. This mixture has been shown to kill micro-organisms that discolor dentures, although it's not effective in removing tartar build-up.
- Soak
Soak the dentures for 10 to 15 minutes. Any longer than that can cause the metallic portions of dentures to corrode.
- Rinse
Remove the dentures from the solution, and rinse thoroughly. Brush them as you would normally. Make sure all the bleach is rinsed off; residual bleach can irritate the gums.
