How do you clean eyeglasses?

Eyeglasses should never be cleaned when they are dry, as this can scratch the lenses. In addition to rinsing and washing your lenses, be sure to have them cleaned periodically with an ultrasonic cleaner at an eye professional's establishment.

1. Rinse the glasses

   Rinse the glasses under warm running water to remove loose dirt from the frames and lenses.

2. Wash the lenses

   Wet your hands. Apply a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid to them and create some lather. Rub the lather on the frames and lenses very gently.

3. Rinse and dry the glasses

   Rinse all the soap off the glasses under clean running water. Dry the glasses with a soft, clean cotton cloth.
